in response to Stephanie59...yes. I am. It's true. Death is not the end of me. Divine intervention, but I could use a little money too. It's so sad suffering in the cold every year. I'm just looking for a normal job now. A movie theater guy or anything! Poverty has become to painful, no mater my amount of spirit.
I have 2 suggestions, one, either find a bible or go to a library and read one from there. Find a church to go to, God takes care of all his people. Are you one?
Trust in the Lord and he shall direct your path.
me2silly4u2no- You are not weird or bad or a baby. Crying is actually good for your emotional well-being. It's cathartic. That means it will help you to let people know you are in pain. I have been out of work for 10 months. Do not give up. McDonalds and Burger King and all these places are probably full up. I see al ot of older people working there to pay for their homes so they won't go to foreclosure. Thank our government for the mess we're in. They have not money, and say "USAs broke." Now, just take a deep breath. Selling items is okay if you have stuff to spare. You can rebuy it when you are working again. BEWARE of SCAM ARTISTS and have faith in yourself. I am in Eugene, OREGON and it's hardluck capitol of the US.
Hello
I hope you feel better. I am heading for bed as the way I see it, it is 12:30 AM. I wish they do this later. Well see how it jive with my sleep.
I don't want to fall behind either but am.
hugs
Starshine
I'm entering week 3 since I got slammed by this flu bug. My head for the most part is clear, so I can think. The cough's causing all sorts of havoc from chest pain to headaches - all that coughing is exhausting.
OTC meds are barely working, but I think I'm wearing the bug down...
I was actually able to lay down & really get some sleep yesterday. That not only felt great, but was a small victory for my side.
Since I'm not foggy headed from meds or the illness, my brains back to thinking whenever I'm not doing something that keeps it occupied. Being sick, having to rest...there's time for my mind to start scheming & plotting as I've tried to sleep prior to Friday. Just for clarification, a cat nap is not real sleep. Neither is dozing, drifting off or all the other little snatches of semi-sleep. Sometimes it's helpful, like a power nap - but other times it's not. As in falling asleep at your computer in your chair where you jerk awake suddenly feeling as if you are falling...not fun & often you're left more sleepy than you started out.
But my issue is with my mind buzzing with ideas, stirring up data & trying to find something I can use to improve my situation. Some things are helpful, but others are not. Trouble is trying to turn it all off so I can get some real rest.
Then of course, every thing I'm supposed to take care of, deal with or handle comes to nag me also. Some of it I can ask my family to do for me...bills that need to be paid & when. Errands that need to be done & stuff like that. Then there are those things that no one can do but me, the stuff only I know how to handle or deal with. Trying to rest & get better, my brain won't stop buzzing about all that I'm letting slide.
Like my freelance work - which has deadlines coming up. I really hate my boss when things are piling up. Won't get off my back about every little thing. Trouble is...I'm the boss! So I'm sorta stuck. Granted, I do slack off & play hooky sometimes. But when I'm sick I could use a break.
But then I can sorta understand the situation - no work, no pay. It's a touch spot to be in.
Thing is I've got over 2 weeks of stuff buzzing like a bunch of angry bees in my head. Things I've wanted to post about & haven't for one reason or another. So I'm about to start writing it all up in word pad & then I'm going to dump all of it in here!
Maybe if I get all this out of my head I'll be able to get things to quiet down for a little while at least. So, expect a bunch of posts real soon...
Hope everyone has a nice weekend and don't forget to change your clocks - nutty as the idea is...don't want to fall behind.
Hi My name is Angel. I'm a part time cashier and making minimum wage. Lately i've been only working 2 days a week at 4 hrs a day. My rent is $1100 a month and have to pay for my phone, electric, heat, car insurance, and gas for my car. With my daughters father out of work for two yrs and unemployment stoped we are unable to make these payments. We have two kids that live with us and it is gonna be a long hard winter for all of us. With Kevin having back surgery and a blood clot, it leaves me taking on everything I don't know what else to do. I know alot of people are in need of help and I'm not asking for much just what ever anyone can give me to help my kids keep a roof over their heads would be a blessing. Neither one of us can shovel snow and I've been looking on craigs list and what ever in our papers for free stuff. Nothing. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do? Please help us.
The place I went to work for has gone out of business. Again I'm running around looking for a job. I got so frustrated because everytime I would pick up the jobs section of the news paper I would see, RN needed, LPN needed, MT needed, and all kinds of things for health care so I ran to the University and said I want to become a nurse. I enrolled and started classes 2 weeks ago, but the student loans I received wasn't enough to cover the cost of my books at all. I had to borrow it from my grandmother which I so dislike doing because she's family, but still in the meantime I'm unable to find a part time job.
I will graduate in two years as long as I study hard and keep my grades up. I shouldn't have got a degree in ART before, but I still love it. I am frustrated. I mean really? McDonalds is full? I have put up fliers saying I'll clean people's houses, run errands for them, go to the grocery store to pick up their food, anything, but nothing so far. Been to the flea markets to sell my things, first day earned $7. The second day was $13. So for 2 days work, I earned $20 which is better than nothing, but it went quickly for toothpaste, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo, and the rest went in my tank for gas.
Maybe I will sound like a baby right now, but really I just feel like crying. I feel as if everything is falling apart. My oldest daughter is a senior in high school, she needs money for spanish club, band, and her senior pictures. My youngest daughter so far only needs the necessities; thank goodness. I have to pay the rent, medical bills, car insurance, utilities, and gas to go back and forth to school. I know that eventually everything will get better, but I'm massively stressed. I get headaches, my neck stiffens as if I've pulled a muscle, I can't eat as I use to as it just comes back up, and sleep is something I miss.
Seriously?! McDonalds anad Burger King and Wendy's and Arby's and Hardee's, etc... are full??? That jus blows my mind. I would be perfectly happy with just part time. I'm in school anyway, but I can work night shifts full time.
Instead of being in art exhibitions, maybe I should try to sell all my work on ebay. It beats waiting around for a year when my area has 1 and I sell 2 or 3 pieces that bring in around $1000 to $1500. Would be alot if I could do that every month instead of once a year.
Hi everyone...as you may have noticed....I have been posting a lot in the last day or two.
I have been working on my own lil section of AidPage.com to help people out. I have started with creating the following pages and I hope that you will visit them on a regular basis and that I can at least help someone with something along the way.
Something.Free - This is where I am positing different freebies that I find, so far I have found free pizza, movies and chocolate...come and find out what else is next!
JobSitesAndTips - This is where I will be posting lists of different job boards; tips for resumes; job interview; and stuff of that nature. Things to help you find that job and keep it.
BabyHelp - Here I plan to try and help all new mothers with where to find diaper samples, coupons, and help. Tips, helpful ideas and anything else that I can find. I will post all free offers that deal with babies here as well that I come across.
PlacesToFindHelp - Is where I will try to post general information for those in need. Such as what I have started so far; Car Charities and Mortgage programs to save your home.
So...I will be adding a few more pages along the way...but I just wanted to make a more focused area for some certain items as I was not able to find them myself when I first got here. So please check them out and let me know what you think. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
I have recently placed a posting asking for assistance. I have not recieved feed back from it. However I hope that there are serious invectors reading these postings. I am a business man living and working in China. I am witnessing the extreme growth China is displaying and have many investment and business ideas I would like to share with someone who has the power or influence to make some of these come to reality. If there is anyone out there that can point me in the right direction I am confident you will be reading about my success in the future.
I wish to point out...I don't use such gimmicks as online businesses to obtain what I desire. I have no interest in any kind of online business or money-making scheme. Doing something you hate prevents you from manifesting what you desire. I use the laws of attraction,Subconcious Mind Power, and specific power tools, such as mantras, medition, visualization, positive affirmations, and my own network,Wealth Passages. I do enter lotteries and sweepstakes, but these are activities I enjoy doing. Speaking of wealth Passages...it costs absolutely nothing to join it and there's no costs whatsoever to use the power tools within the network. http://passages.ning.com
I spent years trying to make it big with home and online businesses and get rich quick schemes. I hated them all. I am not business oriented. I profoundly hate all that goes into building a business. Some odd months ago I stopped searching for and trying online businesses and all money-making schemes. That crap is history in my book. I am now doing what I enjoy and feel great about. I cringe everytime someone comes at me with a business proposal or some money-making idea.
Manifestation will happen much faster if you are doing what you love, what you enjoy, what makes you feel great. Manifestation isn't going to happen if you are doing the things you hate, the things that make you miserable, the things that make you feel terrible.
The following list is something I pulled from a Betty Crocker Cookbook and it truly is a good list to consider when donating to your local food pantry. (Check to make sure they have refrigerators if you donate items that need to be kept cold).
(Keep in mind that canned foods keep for a year, generally speaking. Do keep in mind expiration dates, even though most foods can be used after the date, some foods can't and it's not fun for a family to get foods that are all expired and spoiled).
But there are some legitimate means to make money on the web. We're not talking thousands, and they do require some work - but they do pay.
1) Squidoo lenses. They are small content pages you can make by yourself about anything. Crafts, money saving ideas, recipes, anything YOU are good at you can try ot make into a lense. Quality of content is important here, and so are frequent updates. Keep your 'lense' frensh. This link is my referal, I would be delighted if you would use it. Just to help me keep track of people this works for! Of course, refering friends also helps you make a bit of extra money, I won't lie there. http://www.squidoo.com/lensmaster/referral/Doodlebug_03
2) your own blog! That is right, make your own blog much like you do here, but keep the content about something you know. www.blogger.com is a great blog site, and they make it easy. Then, put your adsense info in, and viola - it can work!
What I like about both of these ideas is they don't cost you anything. They do require effort, and work, but they don't cost you anything but your time to use. I am doing 'decently' at these efforts, not a flood of money - but I'll be seeing some return on the investment of time time.
· Grains and seeds, and the feeding of creatures have been associated with Yuletide holidays for hundred of years in Europe. To continue this tradition why not feed our feathered friends as a family project? See who comes to visit your little sanctuary and identify them with a field guide. For ideas to feed our feathered friends see the craft section or try stringing peanuts in the shell and popcorn garlands for the trees. See our Kids section below for more ideas
· Hang popcorn balls made with honey on trees for wild birds or string a popcorn chain and drape it around the trees.
· Make a wreath out of pine boughs that the family collects on a family outing. Put the wreath in a visible location, such as on the front door, on an inside wall, or in the center of the dining table. When summer solstice arrives it may be burned in the bonfire.
· Make or decorate a special red candle to light on Yule
· Start making tree decorations for family as gifts
· Make an "Advent" calendar
· Make a Yule log. Drill three holes in it to hold three candles of white, red, and black. (Don’t let the candles burn down *into* the wood!) Or go to our craft section where we give even more ideas for the Yule log including types of woods, herbs and flowers to decorate with all their correspondences.
· Bake Sugar Sun Cookies
· Make your very own Yule cards to send to friends and family
·Go out and find a special log to decorate and light on Yule night
· Explain the concept of the holiday to your child. Using crayons or markers ask him or her to draw you a picture of the sun being born, or try other mediums like clay or finger paints
· Let your child stay up with you all night, and watch the Yule log burn. If your child (or you!) can’t make it all night long, wake up extra early and plan a dawn picnic in a park, or on a hill, or somewhere where you can watch the sun rise.
· Keep a candle lit throughout the night to encourage the Sun to keep it company. Make sure the candle is in a safe place where it can’t accidentally set your home ablaze.
· Create a ritual of re-birth. Let it begin with all in darkness, and, throughout the ritual, light candles until you are surrounded by warmth and brightness. Move from the womb to the full light of a summer’s day!
· Volunteer at a soup kitchen, and make a commitment to be there at other times throughout the year; there are those less fortunate than you... share what you can with them.
Need ideas for parties, places to buy great gifts, clothes, SAH jobs, questions on pregnancies, etc? I am full of ideas and knowledge... please feel free to rack my brain. I may not know everything, but I'm sure that you can find an answer here somewhere, whether it be from me or someone else. Much love, prayers, and blessings go out to each and everyone of you!!!
just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas of how to get a business loan to start a new business. My husband is trying to get a small business loan to start a new company but it seems like there is no one out there that does these kind of loans for people with bad credit. He has been working in the moving business off and on for 15 years and now is trying to start his own company. If any one has any ideas plz let me know.
If you do a little work and some research you will find that there have been individuals who have gotten grants to start their own business. The SBA has a grant program (not LOAN) program itself but it seems not a lot of people know about it - that is where you have to do the work and the research.
I have listed examples of people that have gotten grants to start their own business on my Grant Basics 101 page (and blog).
Talk to any grantwriter and you may be surprised at the number of grant programs that are out there for individuals.
Even the government's website has grant programs which are open to all to apply for - and this includes individuals as well as for-profit businesses.
You have to do the work to find out about these kinds of grant programs. There's no secret - just work! Grant Basics 101 Blog
DEAR BUTTERFLY, TRY YOUR LOCAL SBA,THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU SOME INFORMATION,MOST GRANT MONEY IS GIVEN TO FOUNDATIONS, ORGANIZATIONS,CHARITIES,AND PLEASE CHECK AIDMATES, SOULIGHT,ELAINE TSA,WHO~KNEW THEY HAVE LOTS OF INFORMATION LISTED,IDILOGICS,ALSO

Hi my name is Kristy and I am a single mom looking to better her life as well as her kids.I would love to start working from my home so that I am with my little ones.If anyone has ideas please pass them along.
I am a Mother of 3. I work for Target at $8.00 an hour. I do have a degree but have not used it for the last 11 years so it's out dated and no one wants to train. There are no schools for this degree except in Houston or other states because it is costly to the school for the equipment. I am trying to keep our home so that my kids will have some stability in their lives. Our mortgage is about the same as rent. We lost our business so for the last few months it has been a real struggle to just survive. My husband moved to CA to supposedly find a better job...but he's finding he can't aford to live there. He's working for a non-profit agency that he started 30 years ago and is only paying $3000. a month. In CA it hardly pays for rent and food and that's about it. When he was here he couldn't find a job. It's been pretty rough. Right now we are on food stamps because I cannot aford food on the table. I'm not looking for handouts, but for ideas if anyone knows what Grants are available for working mothers for home improvements (our home is falling apart). Also, what school grants are available for schooling. I want to improve my computer skills in hopes of getting into something with better pay or starting my own business. As they say a job is only....JUST OVER BROKE with emphises on Broke. Thanks for reading this. Please help. I need all of the ideas soon.
I'm a college student paying off student loans, trying to help with rent, bills, car issues.I just recently moved into a house with 3 other people. I quit my job,to return to school, moved and now I am unable to find work with 7-11, ( this is where i worked before and was told I can apply for re-hire, but have yet to hear back from them, I have turned in 4 applications to them this past week!)(and other odd ball applications to random store, resturants etc) And now its the end of the month, I am broke, and about to give plasma for money (even tho i know its for a good purpose) I am looking for a loan, or ideas I have no credit according to banks, and i am unable to take a loan out =(
This is just ridiculous. The more I try, the more it gets harder!! My dearest friend gave me $200 so I can give to the landlord for a security deposit. I tried to give it to him yesterday and he would... see full post
